Health Care Reform Guide

The Afforable Care Act and You

Health care reform is changing how health care coverage works in the United States. The Affordable Care Act (ACA) became federal law on March 23, 2010. It is the most sweeping change to our health care system since Medicare was enacted nearly 50 years ago.

One of the most important changes is that millions of Americans who are currently uninsured now have access to affordable health care coverage through the marketplaces available in each state.

There are a lot of other changes. Some apply to everyone, some just to businesses or health plans. Many of the rules are complex and continue to change. Use Health Net's online guide to get what you need to know fast.
